Here’s a quick list of the stuff that belongs to other people, but is still in my office!!
5 boxes of potpourri
1 water bottle with “JAMES” written on it
1 air mattress (I think Bri’s)
1 moose shirt
1 pair of sneakers (now on display at front of church)
1 Rebel volleyball shirt
1 envelope from 3 link with “James” written on it
1 fleece sweater
If you want them, stop by the church and get your stuff!
Here’s some details on the project that you will need to present at the May 17th meeting:
It will need to be 600 words, or a short powerpoint presentation, or a short video. You can be creative, that will be mroe enjoyable for the whole team.
You will need to touch on these issues in Vancouver
- poverty: where is it, what is it, who is it affecting
- homelessness: who is homeless, why are they
- programs and ministries to help people affected
- the development in vancouver: where has it been, where is vancouver going in terms of helping people who are in need
The bonus questions will decide who gets to ride shotgun to start the trip and pick the first music that is played:
- Who is Stomping Tom and why is he awesome?
- What is your favorite Stomping Tom song?
- What are the snowbirds?
- Who are snowbirds?
- How did Tim Horton die?
- Tim Horton is James’ 5th cousin. T or F
- How many points did Wayne Gretzky score in his career?
- Spell the last letter of the alphabet. in Canadian.
- Write a sentence with the word “eh” in it. Must be used correctly.
- Name the favorite Prime Minister of James’ Dad.

It seems that Jesus goes to get tempted by Satan a lot. It’s nice to know He went through the same things as us as far as being tempted goes. Then it says that heaven tore open – does that mean the clouds whent WHOOOOSH!! and just were gone?
Has the Spirit of God ever led you to do something drastic? Like go into a desert?

It’s appropriate that we begin going through the gospel of Mark with a devotional from Mark! Here’s the process, go look up the verses (you can do this online through Bible Crosswalk if you want), pray about it, read what others have to say and make some comments yourself. A question will be given each time to get things started!
And now, Mark says,
John the Baptist was the prophet in that point of time. He lived off the land, wore camel skins for clothes and everyone wanted to be baptized by him. That was a lot of responsibility. John stayed humble through it all, though!
If you were John the Baptist, how would you have done? How would you have stayed humble?

If you are away for spring break don’t sweat it – just have fun in vegas. If you are around be sure to wear dark threads to the count zinzeldorf game on wednesday night!

Two things:
- Many of you have yet to pay your deposits. We have to get those in. In fact we only have 8 people fully registered. Get on it y’all.
- On sunday someone left their jogging pants and shirt in my office. That is weird. That means someone went home in their gitch. If that’s you, please come by and pick it up.
